Meet Shikye Alyce Smith

Born, raised and currently residing in Sydney, Australia, Shikye found her love for the stage at the tender age of 3.

After completing her training in a dynamic range of dance styles and obtaining a diploma in music, majoring in contemporary performance at JMC Academy, Shikye began working professionally in the entertainment industry at just 16 years of age. At 19, she secured her first international contract as a dancer at the world-famous cabaret, the Moulin Rouge in Paris, France, where she resided for 2 years. Having performed on numerous national and international stages throughout her career, Shikye's love for the arts has never faltered.

In 2015, Shikye made the bold decision to step onto a new type of stage and enter the pageant world. Quickly making a name for herself, Shikye made history as the first woman of colour to be crowned Miss Galaxy Australia and the first Australian to win an international Galaxy title in 2016.

With the ambition to build confidence in others, Shikye diligently used her platform, openly sharing her lived experience of mental health challenges to inspire those around her to never give up on their dreams, no matter the challenges they may have faced.

As a passionate mental health advocate, Shikye now works in the not-for-profit space supporting young people to share their lived experience stories of mental health challenges in a safe and impactful way.

Shikye is also the proud National Director of Australia Galaxy Pageants and has the privilege of supporting girls and women across Australia to become the best version of themselves, just as the system once did for her.

Driven by her passion for supporting others in achieving their goals, Shikye is thrilled to launch The Next Chapter and is excited for what the future holds.
